A preview of the upcoming LinkedInstitute sessions

In November, I began a partnership with Indiana Data Center to bring LinkedIn training sessions to northeast Indiana professionals. We’re off to a great start, with three programs completed so far. As a result of the positive response, we’ve build out the schedule of programs through July. We’re also open to adding more sessions based on your feedback, so if there’s something you’d like us to add to the schedule, drop a note in the comments or contact me.

Here’s a look at what’s comin’ up. Seating is limited, so be sure to click on the title of each session you’re interested in to register.

Feb 5, 6 – 7 p.m.
FREE – but only a few days left to sign up!
An encore LinkedInstitute presentation, repeated for those who couldn’t attend this session in November. LinkedIn is changing, with new user profiles, company profiles, and features. Don’t get left behind. In this session, you’ll get a preview of the changes and learn about what hasn’t changed when it comes to using LinkedIn effectively.

LinkedIn for Nonprofits: How to Connect With Current and Future Advocates & Donors
Mar 5, 6 – 8 p.m.
Relationships are critical to the success of any nonprofit organization that depends upon board members, committee members, donors, and other advocates. This LinkedInstitute session will focus specifically on the ways in which nonprofits can use LinkedIn to strengthen their existing relationships and connect with a new audience. You’ll leave with a thorough understanding of where LinkedIn can fit into your communication and marketing strategy, even if your organization has limited dollars and time to spend on social media.

The LinkedInquistion!: Bring Your Questions about LinkedIn; We’ll Have Answers
Apr 2, 6 – 7 p.m.
Have questions about LinkedIn? Here’s your chance to get answers. No agenda–other than what the attendees want to learn. Bringing a laptop, tablet, or other device is encouraged, but not required.

Building a Standout LinkedIn Company Page
May 7, 6 – 8 p.m.
LinkedIn Company Pages are an excellent tool for building your brand and connecting with your customers. In this session, we’ll go in-depth and look at the anatomy a great LinkedIn Company Page, with examples from organizations that are making the most of this underutilized space. You’ll leave with specific tips for building an audience for your Company Page, showcasing your products and services, and keeping your customers and prospects engaged.

LinkedIn 101: The Fundamentals
Jun 4, 6 – 8 p.m.
Everyone knows that relationships are the key to success in business. But how can you manage those relationships when you have so many priorities competing for your time and attention? That’s where LinkedIn comes in. In this two-hour session, you’ll learn how to use LinkedIn to enhance the relationships most likely to benefit you and your business. You’ll leave understanding how to use LinkedIn well beyond just making connections and updating your profile.

LinkedIn 102: Advanced Tips & Strategies
Jun 18, 6 – 8 p.m.
For many business professionals, LinkedIn has more untapped potential than any other social media tool. The challenge is understanding everything that’s available and deciding which features are most likely to help you reach your goals. This two-hour session is designed to ensure that you use LinkedIn productively, efficiently, and with a clear focus on results. Attendees will receive an outline for putting together a LinkedIn strategy that will guide them as they apply the lessons from this session.

LinkedInsanity: A Few LinkedIn Myths and the Well-Kept Secrets They Conceal
Jul 9, 6 – 7 p.m.
LinkedIn is tremendously powerful, but it’s often misunderstood. In fact, some of the conventional wisdom about LinkedIn is just a little crazy. This presentation, geared towards those with a working knowledge of LinkedIn, addresses some of the thinking that may hold you back. You’ll learn how to take LinkedIn to the next level and make sane use of a tool that’s crazy good in keeping you in touch with your connections.

All sessions will take place at the 620 West Conference Center, located in the Indiana Data Center building at 620 W Coliseum Blvd. in Fort Wayne.
